State Chair
Anthony Pugliese
West Chester UniversityAnthony Pugliese is an Undergraduate Student at West Chester University majoring in Political Science and minoring in Communication Studies. Anthony began his political involvement in 2004 interning for the Bush/Cheney 04 Campaign in the Harrisburg Headquarters. Following the 04' elections Anthony briefly interned for the Republican State Committee of Pennsylvania. During his freshman year at West Chester Anthony was elected Chairman of the West Chester College Republicans.
As Chairman, Anthony was able to prepare and turn around the West Chester CR's and prepare them for the 06' elections where they were recognized for their hard work and commitment. Also in preparation for the 06 elections Anthony was appointed Southeast Director of the PACR's. The following year Anthony was elected Co-Chairman of the PACRs and alongside Sean-Tamba Matthews helped lead and manage the PACRs in 2007/2008.

Michael E. Ubbens
Susquehanna UniversityMike Ubbens is a senior Political Science and Secondary Education major at Susquehanna University. Mike is originally from Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania. Last year he served as the State Treasurer for the federation, and is currently the Chairman of the Susquehanna University College Republicans. Upon graduation, Mike hopes to attend law school.

Kathleen Elizabeth Klein
Indiana University of PennsylvaniaKatie is a senior at Indiana University of Pennsylvania majoring in Criminology/Pre-Law and upon graduation will be taking masters classes for Human Resource Management. Before transferring to IUP, Katie was heavily involved with the 2004 presidential campaign at the Victory Center in Scranton. After transferring to IUP in 2005 she joined College Republicans and in 2006 was elected the Vice-chair. Since then she has become Chair at IUP and is working on improving membership. She will be working non-stop on campus and off to help get John McCain elected! Aside from volunteering on the national level, Katie has volunteered on the state level helping with events for Arlen Spectors office. She has also worked in Indiana County volunteering on election days and helping to campaign for local politicians’. During the summer 2008 Katie will be going on a personal unofficial campaign for John McCain working her way down the East Coast visiting 7 states.

Zackary Karazsia
Pennsylvania State University Berks CampusZackary Karazsia is a sophomore attending the Pennsylvania State University Berks Campus. He is a two term Chairman of the Penn State Berks College Republicans and has been involved in the Pennsylvania Federation of College Republicans for two years. Zack is a Global Studies and Communication Arts and Sciences Major. In addition to supporting the PACR's he is involved in the Penn State Berks Student Government Association. The only way to improve an organization is from the inside, and he is prepared to work with the executive board in making the PACR's successful organization.

Megan Ritter
Seton Hill UniversityMegan Ritter recently graduated from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA, with a degree in history and political science and a concentration in Holocaust and genocide studies. She served as the chair of the SHU College Republicans, as the campus chair of Students for Santorum, and as the political columnist for the university newspaper. She interned for the non-profit public interest group Students for Saving Social Security where, most notably, she staked out a Hillary Clinton appearance dressed in an ostrich suit and carrying a sign asking Clinton to “get her head out of the sand and fix Social Security.”

Jessica Thompson
Robert Morris UniversityJessica is currently a graduate student in Nonprofit Management at Robert Morris University. She received her undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management with a minor in Legal Studies from RMU in May of 2007.
Jessica began her involvement in Republican politics in February 2006 as the Vice President of the RMU College Republicans. She became President of the organization in September of 2006 and currently holds the position. Under her leadership, the group did various events, including writing letters for the troops, helping to run a "support the troops" drive that sent over 20 boxes of supplies to soldiers in Iraq, and organizing a September 11th flag memorial on campus.
In addition to work with the College Republicans, Jessica is also very involved at Robert Morris, serving as the captain of the RMU College Bowl team, the coach of the RMU Forensics team, a volunteer for the RMU Alumni Association, and as a Graduate Research Assistant for the RMU School of Business. Jessica is also a special committee member of the Moon Township Republican Committee.

Ed Furman
Saint Joseph's UniversityEd Furman is a Sophomore Political Science Major at Saint Joseph's University. He is the current Chairman of the Saint Joseph's College Republicans where he has increased membership and strengthened ties to local candidates and county officials. Under his term the Saint Joseph's College Republicans were influential in helping secure a Republican victory in Montgomery County, an election that most predicted would be a lopsided victory for the Democrats. He brings a solid understanding of the political atmosphere in the South East region of the state which will be home to several very competitive house races in 2008.
